Although she enjoyed her time on the country's eastern side, Keri is a PNW native who grew up just east of Seattle. After completing her residency, she worked in private referral practice in Seattle, Washington, before relocating to Portland in 2009. Keri developed an interest in ultrasound during veterinary school. This passion and enthusiasm were further enhanced during her internal medicine residency. She understands the essential role ultrasound routinely plays in managing the health of our small animal pets.
While spare time is relatively scarce, Keri enjoys spending time outside with her family and their two labradors, particularly trips to the Oregon Coast. Additionally, she enjoys volunteering at her children's school, reading, and DIY home improvement projects.

In 2024, Stephanie became a Diplomate of the ACVR and began her work with VDIC. As a VDIC radiologist, she leverages her extensive training and affinity for problem-solving to interpret imaging findings and guide patient care. She works collaboratively with our sonographers to ensure we acquire the individualized imaging we need for each patient.
As a lifelong learner and teacher, she loves mentoring VDIC’s residents and interns, helping them find the “aha” moments in their diagnostic imaging training. Having grown up in Oregon, Stephanie is very excited to have found her way back to the Pacific Northwest!

As a diagnostic imaging intern, Dr. Vaught assists in patient care during diagnostic ultrasounds and radiology studies. Under the mentorship of VDIC's radiology team, she is learning to pre-read radiographs, interpret ultrasound studies, and hone her ultrasound skills.
Dr. Vaught holds a Bachelor's in Biology and graduated from veterinary school in 2018, but her experience with animals and medicine started much earlier. Growing up, she helped with her family's wildlife rehabilitation program in Montana. Motivated and curious, she thrives when she's learning something new every day!

Dr. Williams completed her undergraduate education in Environmental Science at Oregon State University. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in partnership with Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to 10 years of medicine at an AAHA accredited animal practice in Lake Oswego, Dr. Williams received additional training in Veterinary Acupuncture and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist.
When she is not caring for animals, Dr. Shannon can be found outdoors on her mountain bike, hiking, paddle boarding, or skiing and spending quality time with her boyfriend and their furry friends.

Compassionate, kind, and a little goofy, Dr. Harrison is motivated by the opportunity to provide answers and reassurance to families during stressful times when they’re worried about their beloved pets. In his role, he performs physical examinations, develops sedation plans, and communicates sonographic findings from the radiologist to clients, helping them understand the results and navigate appropriate next steps. He especially enjoys meeting the many adorable animals that come through VDIC and using minimally invasive techniques to provide valuable diagnostic information. Dr. Harrison is also inspired by the caring and knowledgeable team around him and their shared commitment to providing gold-standard care.
Outside of VDIC, Dr. Harrison and his lovely partner, who is also a local veterinarian, enjoy all the delicious food Portland has to offer which leads to excessive oyster consumption. They warmly share their home with Pippin, an adorable three-legged, one-eyed French Bulldog. Pippin has been through a lot but has a heart of gold—much like his namesake from The Lord of the Rings.

As a member of the VDIC team she is proud to be a part of the greater veterinary community, and an extension of each patient’s healthcare team. Sara obtained her BS in Education from Western Oregon University and has been a longtime advocate for continuing education. She has provided abdominal ultrasound instruction for IDEXX Telemedicine, Sound Eklin, Universal Ultrasound, and Core Ultrasound.
An industry pioneer, Sara is also a founding member of the committee that established The Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Diagnostic Imaging (AVTDI). Launched in 2018, the AVTDI will provide Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) status to qualified technicians in diagnostic imaging.

After nearly two decades with VDIC and 25 years in the veterinary field, Sarah’s passion lies in patient advocacy and meticulous care. She enjoys the challenge of using ultrasound to help veterinarians and pet owners get the answers they need.
Her faith motivates and inspires her to care for the animal kingdom, as well as the great outdoors. When she’s not assisting VDIC’s radiologists, she loves experiencing the world’s natural beauty through hiking kayaking, and snorkeling.

In her role, Sarah ensures that patients are relaxed, comfortable, and safe before, during, and after their ultrasound procedures. She also takes pride in communicating with clients in a way that shows compassion and expertise to help them feel heard, supported, and confident that their pets are in good hands. Colleagues describe her as compassionate, silly, hard-working, and thorough, all qualities she brings to her daily work with patients, clients, and her teammates.
For Sarah, motivation comes from being able to help find answers, or at least rule things out, for pets and the people who love them. She’s continually inspired by the deep human-animal bond she witnesses every day, and she values being part of a team that plays a role in strengthening that connection. Her favorite part of the job is seeing all the animals that come through the door (and sneaking in a little love for each one), while also growing her skills in the specialty setting.
Outside of work, Sarah’s life is full and joyful. She has a husband, three kids, two dogs, two cats, two guinea pigs, and two frogs. She also loves curating her Little Free Library, traveling to new places, and spending time with friends and family. A fan of both the beach and the forest, Sarah has a knack for finding rocks and agates to polish in her rock tumbler. Every spring, she keeps up a long-standing tradition of running Portland’s Shamrock Run 5K in a ridiculous costume—proof that her playful side is as strong as her professional dedication.

At VDIC, she helps care for patients durring their appointments - from check-in to check-out and all patient needs in between. Whether helping with a procedure or comforting a pet, her approach is both professional and warm-hearted, because patient care isn’t just precisely done, it’s personally delivered.
Her 20 years in the field include time in general practice, followed by four years in dermatology, four years in cardiology, and a unique stint at a primate center. These varied experiences have shaped a compassionate, versatile technician who understands that medicine thrives on curiosity and adaptability.
Her favorite part of the job, and what continues to inspire her, is helping clients find answers about how to best care for their pets. Of course, the patient snuggles are a pretty great perk, too! Outside of VDIC, Jamie can be found at home with her two delightful mutts, Tyrannosaurus and Eevee, who brighten life with their antics (and demand equal amounts of snuggle time).

In her role, Ayla provides patient and client care, monitors patients under sedation, places IVCs, and performs lab work. Creative and caring by nature, she’s motivated by the opportunity to bring comfort, healing, and clarity to pets and the people who love them. She especially enjoys venipuncture and the opportunity to learn something new every day. For Ayla, making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while they’re away from their people—and helping people help their pets—is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
Ayla’s experience spans nearly every part of veterinary medicine. Starting as a receptionist, she transitioned to veterinary assistant before becoming a CVT, and has also served as an assistant manager and lead technician. Those experiences have made her a well-rounded technician and strengthened her passion for teamwork, staff development, and supporting those around her. At VDIC, she’s inspired by the talented and knowledgeable people she works alongside and loves that she gets to continue learning and growing her skills every day.

Working side by side with our veterinarians, Dave ensures the safest and most effective protocols for patient care, monitoring, and sedation. He has a particular passion for diagnostic imaging and anesthesia—areas he describes as the highlights of his career. For Dave, ultrasound is more than a tool; it’s a fascination. He loves that this technology allows us to see inside the body and provide answers for pet parents using completely safe, non-invasive sound waves.
Described by teammates as a “big, happy labrador,” Dave is motivated by keeping patients comfortable and relaxed through compassion, technology, and drug therapy. He’s also inspired by VDIC’s culture, where his voice and experience in the field are valued.
In addition to his years of hands-on experience, Dave holds a Master Herpetology Certification from The Amphibian Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. Outside of work, he and his partner are proud “frog nerds” who share one of the largest collections of poison dart frogs in the Pacific Northwest.

Compassionate, positive, and always motivated, Alec enjoys the opportunity to help provide answers for pets and their families, knowing his work directly contributes to improving patients' quality of life. One of his favorite parts of working at VDIC is the constant opportunity to learn and problem-solve, as well as being part of such an incredible and dedicated team.
Outside of work, Alec enjoys staying active and is often playing soccer or baseball, golfing, skiing, hiking, or paddleboarding. When he's not outdoors, you'll likely find him cheering on his favorite teams at a sporting event or enjoying live music at a concert.

Behind the scenes at VDIC, Andrea uses her love for problem-solving to optimize processes and ensure appointments are stress-free, both for our patients and the people who love them. In her free time, she enjoys fostering animals, reading, and spending time outdoors, either gardening or hiking, whenever she can.

When she’s not dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s at the office, Lindsay keeps busy with her four boys, husband, and goldendoodle. Between year-round sports and her love of hiking, there’s no time for downtime!

Kiri is committed to building an innovative, compassionate team that works collaboratively to foster meaningful relationships while always putting patients first.
Outside of work, Kiri enjoys camping and adventuring with her sweet pup, Cedar. She’s also a food and whiskey enthusiast who loves exploring new flavors and unique culinary experiences.
